The Story

As her once-thriving online ministry begins to lose traction, Morgan, a popular Christian content creator, turns to an AI therapy platform to reclaim her confidence and relevance—only to discover the algorithm has an agenda of its own, one that quietly challenges her faith, identity, and the voice she thought was God’s.

This was our final project for our Digital Cinema Production class. My film partner, Ja'Net Douglas, and I decided to do a two-part short film series exploring the potential dangers of AI therapy. Part 1, 'The Fulfilling' was written by me, and part 2, 'The Draining' was written by Ja'Net. We were given cinematography styles to copy, and mine was Hoyte Van Hoytema, and Ja'Net's was Toby Oliver. We had so much fun making these films together and hope it cautions people against delving too deeply into AI.
