Step Into Faith

There are seasons when the familiar becomes strange—when the way forward is hidden. Step Into Faith was born from such a season: a quiet, restless time of questioning, waiting, and becoming.

These conceptual self-portraits, created through double exposures, explore the invisible work of growth—the slow and often painful process of surrendering uncertainty in exchange for trust. They reflect the tension between light and darkness, between the fear of the unknown and the quiet courage it takes to move forward anyway.

Familiar landscapes intertwine with fragments of self, reflecting the inner tension of navigating the unknown. I photographed these images in places rooted in my everyday life—roads, trees, open skies—but transformed them through layering, echoing the way internal change reshapes even what is most familiar. The oak tree appears throughout as a symbol of patience and endurance; winding paths and open spaces speak to the uncertainty of the journey ahead.

This is a story of unseen growth. Of surrendering to a path not fully lit. Of discovering that faith is not the absence of fear, but the courage to walk through it.

I hope these images resonate with anyone walking through uncertainty—that they remind you growth is happening even when you can't see it, and that light is still reaching you, even in the darkest places.
